The Menards I go to in Mt. Prospect is kick ass! Just wanted to thank them, since most of the people on this board just wine and pine.

This past Saturday, we had a Kitchen project with the sink, plumbing to be all re-done. Husband went to Menards to get what he needed, came home to install, when he got to the faucet, he noticed rust in the screen, and wrench marks already on the faucet and the ring inside was broke! To think, that it was put back on the shelf for someone else to purchase!!! So back to the store, this was a 70 mile ordeal!!! No sorry, no nothing from the employee, if i would of went, i would of asked to see the Manager. FYI, check everything before leaving the store!! I am a cancer patient now on hospice care.It frustrates me that Menards doesn’t have electric wheelchairs for me to shop.Now that the disease has progress Menards doesn’t even have a web page were can go on line pick out what I need and then send someone to pick it up.I juat sont understand.Searshas an online site so I could find a tool xhest for my son thi week end .ut not Menards,I guess if you son;t care to have handicap customers then I’ll have to stop complaining i had to pay 3times as much at sears.At least Sears wants my business,

as a disabled vet. I dont know why the stores don’t have the electric carts (scooters) I can’t walk very well because of back injuries I would like to know why.

I am an employee at a Menards, the store I work at is busy, and everyone in my department emails when they see an item out of stock, there is no magic fairy that makes the items appear, the second you ask for it, too bad you have to wait a day or two,everyone is in such a hurry these days, and everyone wants everything for nothing, there are prices for a reason, so the store makes money, and the employees get paid, Im sure all of you people that complain would just love to have someone come to your place of work and demand split second service, and if you dont get it right away I want a manager I want a discount, today society is all about the no spending of money to get what they want.there chew on that.

I have been trying for three days to pay muy account on line - no luck. I have called the local store here and they aren’t any help either but they did tell me I can pay on line. On one search I was able to have an operator tell me I could pay with a $15.00 charge for the check All in all I would say you do not offer good customer servide. My account is due 9908 and I want to pay it today if at all possible. HELP!! What shall I do?? Alice Bartlett abart@kdsi.net

I was told it would take 5days for lumber they did not have in stock to come.So I decided to wait and pick it all up and save a trip.When I went to pick up my order the lumber was still not all in(lost on sight somwhere according to asst. manager).I was also given wrong parts which they tried to take care of.But gave me the wrong parts again!I am dealing with a asst. manager mind you.At this point I have been there almost 3 hours yes 3.I was furious I told them to unload my truck and cancell the order.Soon a store Manager came to discuss what was wrong.I explained his asst. manager was a stupid a_ _ and I basically had to fix the problem my self because his asst. just didn’t get it.And moved like a turtle.The manager said as soon as the parts came in he would have them delivered.So I kept the wood and it got deliverded 1day late.This is a brand new store in Galesburg IL.When I’m done dealing with this project through Menards I’ll never go back.

I bought a grill at the new Menards store in Lancaster Ohio which is about 20 miles from my home. When I went to assemble it, I found many broken welds on the unit. I returned the grill the following day and asked if I was to upgrade to a more expensive grill, could they give me a break on the price because of all the trouble I had gone through. I was told, "NO, we won’t give you any price break" so I got my refund and left. I was a new customer who if was treated fairly would have returned for many purchases as I am a homeowner who is consistently upgrading my house. They have lost my business.

This happened athe the Menard’s in Elkhorn, NE. We went to the cabinet dept and showed a young man our kitchen dimensions. I showed him which cabinet that I wanted and he proceeded to copy a kitchen plan that we had received from Home Depot. We sat with him for an hour while he copies Home Depot’s plan. When he went to put the cabinet doors on his design, he found out that the doors I had selected wouldn’t work on his design. Shouldn’t he have checked that before he went through all the hoopla and wasted over an hour of my time? I then asked to see a manager to make a complaint, and the manager didn’t see that there was a problem!!

As usual, Menards was out of the lights I needed and all stores in the metro area were also out. One store 45 miles away had 16 units so I ordered by phone and they were to hold them. This week I drive 45 miles to get the lights only to find out that they held the wrong color and were now out of the color I need. I then had to spend 30 minutes waiting in line to have my money refunded and then faced an hour drive back home with no lights.
